About Rafeeq
I Help Service Businesses Stop Guessing and Start Growing.
I'm a growth marketing consultant who works exclusively with US-based service businesses. Not because I stumbled into it — because I genuinely like solving the specific problems that come with it. Seasonality, local competition, trust-heavy buying decisions, thin margins. These aren't generic marketing challenges. They need someone who's seen them before.

The Journey
Got into digital marketing the old-fashioned way — curious, self-taught, and willing to do the unglamorous work. Link building, on-page SEO, learning why some pages ranked and others didn't.
Early 2000s
Starting from zero
Expanded into Google Ads and Meta. Learned quickly that clicks were easy to buy — converting them into real revenue was the harder, more interesting problem. That's where the focus shifted.
2010s
Moving into paid media
Started working exclusively with US home service businesses. HVAC companies, roofers, plumbers, inspectors. Real businesses with real stakes. The work felt more meaningful — and the problems were genuinely hard to solve well.
2017
Going all-in on service businesses
Still hands-on with every client. Still the person doing the strategy, not just approving it. 167+ businesses helped. Clients from 2017 still on board. The relationships matter more than the scale.
Today
Staying small on purpose
I Didn't Set Out to Be a Consultant. I Set Out to Understand Why Things Worked.
I got into digital marketing because I was genuinely curious about how some businesses seemed to grow on autopilot while others — doing what looked like the same things — stayed stuck. The early years were a lot of trial and error, a lot of reading, and a lot of doing the work that nobody else wanted to claim credit for.
What surprised me was how rarely the problem was the marketing itself. The ad copy was fine. The SEO was improving. But somewhere between the first click and a booked job, something was quietly failing — and nobody had looked at it as a system.
"Most of the business owners I talk to aren't doing anything wrong. They just haven't had someone connect the dots between all the moving parts — from the first Google search to the signed estimate."
By 2017, I'd found my lane. Home service businesses — HVAC, roofing, plumbing, home inspection, cleaning — were a world where marketing could make a real, measurable difference. A 20% improvement in conversion rate doesn't just look good in a report. It means 20% more jobs booked. It's that direct.
Since then I've kept the client list intentionally small. Not because I can't handle more, but because staying involved at the level I think actually moves the needle requires that. I don't hand off strategy. I don't disappear after onboarding. If something's not working, I'm the one figuring out why — not a junior account manager running a template.
How I Work
A Few Things That Shape Every Engagement
I've picked up enough habits over 15 years to know which ones actually make a difference. These aren't mission statement words — they're the things clients mention when they describe what working together feels like.
Diagnosis before prescription
I won't recommend a solution before I understand the actual problem. Every engagement starts with a proper look at what's already happening — traffic, conversions, tracking, messaging. The fix usually becomes obvious once you've actually looked.
Revenue is the only metric that matters
Traffic, rankings, impressions — these are inputs, not outcomes. I care about booked jobs, revenue, and ROI. If a campaign looks great on paper but isn't filling your calendar, it isn't working. Full stop.

You'll always know what's happening
No black-box reporting. No jargon-filled updates designed to make things sound complicated. I explain what I'm doing, why I'm doing it, and what the numbers actually mean — in plain language, every time.
I stay hands-on
I'm the strategist and the executor. The person you talk to on calls is the same person in your accounts every week. That's not a selling point — it's just how I believe this work should be done.

Long-term thinking
Quick wins exist and I'll take them. But the goal is always a system that generates leads consistently — not a spike that disappears when the ad spend stops. I'm more interested in building something durable.
Honest when something won't work
If I don't think a tactic makes sense for your business, I'll say so — even if you were excited about it. The relationship works better when I'm straight with you, and the results back that up over time.

The Person Behind the Work
A Little About Who I Am Outside of Marketing
I think clients should know something real about who they're working with — not just a résumé. So here's the short version. I care a lot about the businesses I work with. Not in a surface-level "we're passionate about your success" way, but in the sense that I genuinely think about these problems when I'm not on the clock. When a client's phone starts ringing more, it means something. There's a family on the other side of that business. Jobs that depend on it.
That keeps the work grounded. Outside of work, I'm someone who likes understanding how things fit together — whether that's a marketing funnel or something completely unrelated. I read a lot. I ask too many questions. I find it hard to look at a broken system without wanting to fix it. I believe the best working relationships are ones where there's enough trust to be direct. If something's not performing, we talk about it. If I made a mistake, I own it. That's the kind of partnership I try to build.

The Process
What Working Together Actually Looks Like
I keep the process straightforward on purpose. Too many agencies make onboarding feel complicated — I think that's a way of avoiding accountability. Here's how we go from first call to real results.
step1
Free Audit Call
30 minutes. We look at what you're doing, what's working, and where the leaks are. You leave with clarity regardless of what happens next.
step2
Revenue Leak Audit
If we move forward, I do a deep dive into your traffic, tracking, website, and campaigns. This is where the real picture emerges.
step3
Fix & Build
We tackle the highest-impact issues first — conversion fixes, tracking repair, campaign restructuring — before layering in longer-term growth levers.
step4
Scale What Works
Once the foundation is solid, we scale with confidence. More budget, more channels, more reach — all tied back to revenue you can see.
What Clients Say
In Their Own Words
The best way to know what it's like to work with me is to hear from people who already have.

"What I appreciate most is that Rafeeq talks to me like a business owner, not like someone who needs to be impressed by marketing terminology. He explains what's happening, why it matters, and what we're doing about it."
Thomas W.
HVAC Business Owner, Texas

"We'd worked with two agencies before. Both sent monthly reports that looked fine. Rafeeq was the first one who actually showed us where our money was going and what was wasting it. Night and day difference."
Linda M.
Home Inspection, North Carolina

"Three years in and I still feel like I'm his only client. He responds fast, stays involved, and when something isn't working he brings it up before I even notice. That kind of relationship is rare."
Ryan B.
Roofing Contractor, Tennessee
